Send a run down different paths
Use a Condition to take one path when a check is true and another when it is false, or a Switch to take one path for each value you list.
The Check a website and e-mail when it is down template uses a Condition this way:
- Start
- Check the site
- Is it down?
- Send the warning
Steps
Add a Condition and its rule
Click the + after the node your check follows, pick Condition under Decide & repeat, and open it. Under Rules, click the left box and pick a value from Input, such as Total under Start. Choose a comparison, such as is more than, and type a value, such as 1000. The rule shows how it came out on the sample: 1850 is more than 1000 — true.

| Control | What it adds |
|---|---|
| Add rule | A check that must also hold. |
| Add group | A set of checks of their own. |
| Write as a formula | The whole rule as one expression. |
| Compare text | Whether Paid and paid count as the same. |
Or list the cases of a Switch
For one path per value, add a Switch instead: type Switch in Add a step, and open it. Set Value to look at, such as Country from Start. Under Cases, click Add case for each value, name it, such as Netherlands, and type its value after when it is, such as nl. Each case adds a port named after it; anything that matches no case leaves by Anything else. Cases are checked in order, and the run leaves by the first match.

Add a node to each path
Where it goes in the dialog lists each path and its node, or Not connected. Close the dialog, click the + on each port, such as Yes and No, and add that path's nodes.

Test the paths
Click Test run. The run shows the path it took; under Steps, a node on a path not taken says Skipped.

If it did not work
- "Rules is required." Click Add rule, or Write as a formula and write one that gives true or false.
- "Value to look at is required." Fill in the Switch's Value to look at.
- The Switch always takes Anything else. A case matches on type as well as text: the number 200 and the text "200" differ. Change the case's Type in its ⋯ menu.
