Start a flow on a workspace event
Make a workspace event trigger so a flow starts when something happens in Flowmage: a run fails, an alert fires, a connection stops working, a file is added.
Steps
Open New trigger
On the flow's Triggers tab, click Add trigger, then New trigger… (shown on its own while nothing starts the flow).

Choose the event
Click Workspace event. Under Event, choose what happens, such as A run fails. Under Where, keep In any flow or narrow it to the flows, tables or connections you pick. Add a Name and click Create and add.

The events you can choose
| Event | Where you can narrow it |
|---|---|
| A run succeeds, a run fails, a run is cancelled | flows |
| A flow is put on Prod | flows |
| An alert fires, an alert resolves | The whole workspace only |
| A connection stops working, a connection works again | connections |
| Rows are changed | tables |
| A secret is set, a file is added, a file is changed, someone joins | The whole workspace only |
Publish the flow
In the editor, click Publish, then Put on Test. Each time the event happens on Test, the trigger starts the Test version. To start it on Prod, see Test and Prod.

If it did not work
- The flow did not start on its own failed run. Events a flow causes itself never start it.
- A flow started by an event did not start the next one. A chain of event triggers stops after four flows.
- The event happened on Prod and nothing started. A trigger counts only its own environment: make one on Prod.
