Get an email when something goes wrong
Set an alert so Flowmage emails you and your colleagues when a run fails, a run takes too long, a connection stops working or a flow goes quiet.
Steps
Open Alerts
Open Alerts. Until the workspace has an alert, it offers four quick starts: A run fails, A run takes too long, A connection stops working and A flow goes quiet.

Fill in New alert
Click Add beside a quick start, or New alert at the top. Check each field; the sentence at the top reads back what the alert will do.
| Field | What you choose |
|---|---|
| When | What sets it off, such as A run fails, or a run still going after some minutes. |
| Flows | All flows, or the flows you add. |
| On | Prod, Test or Any. |
| You, and any member or outside address you add. | |
| More options | How many times in a row it must happen, how often it reminds you (Once, Hourly, 4 h or Daily), and Also email when it is resolved. |

Create it
Click Create alert ("The alert is on."). It joins the list with where it watches, who it Sends to, its Status and when it Last fired.

How it works
An outside address first gets an email asking whether it wants these alerts, and gets none until it confirms. Every alert email lets it stop them.
An alert's ⋯ menu has Edit, Send test email, Snooze, History and Delete; its switch turns it off. Muted lists alerts that are off or snoozed; Fired, every alert that went off.
If it did not work
- A run failed and nobody got an email. Check On: an alert watches Prod by default, and Test run runs on Test. Pick Test or Any.
- An outside address gets nothing. It has not yet confirmed the email asking its permission.
- Too many emails. Raise the times in a row, pick a longer reminder, or Snooze the alert from its menu.
