Build flows with AI
Download the flowmage-flows skill, add it to Claude or paste it into another AI tool, and import the flow file it writes into your workspace.
Steps
Download the skill
For Claude, flowmage-flows.zip, the skill's folder. For another AI tool, flowmage-flows.md, the same skill in one file.
Give it to your AI tool
| Tool | Do this |
|---|---|
| Claude Code | Unzip into ~/.claude/skills/, so ~/.claude/skills/flowmage-flows/SKILL.md exists, or into a project's .claude/skills/ to share it. |
| Claude on the web or desktop | Upload the zip as a skill in Claude's settings. |
| Another AI tool | Attach flowmage-flows.md at the start of the conversation, or paste its text in. |
For questions about Flowmage, point the tool at llms.txt, the list of these pages.
Ask for a flow file
Describe the flow, such as "Write a Flowmage flow file that saves each webhook request in a table called Leads." Save the answer as a .flowmage.json file.
Import it
Open Flows, click Import and pick the file. Under What this flow needs here, click Create table beside a missing table, then Create table again on the filled-in form. Click Import flow: the flow opens in the editor as a draft.

Try it on Test
Add any other secret or connection the import named as missing, with that name. When the top bar shows nothing to fix, click Test run.

If it did not work
- "That file is not valid JSON — pick a .flowmage.json file." The AI tool put words around the file. Ask for the file alone, or copy only the JSON.
- "That file is not a Flowmage flow export — pick a .flowmage.json file." The file's
formatis notflowmage.flow. Point the tool at the flow file and ask again. - The top bar says a step needs attention. Click it for each step's issue. Add a missing secret or connection yourself; paste the rest back to the AI tool for a corrected file.
- Claude answers without the skill. Ask Claude to use the flowmage-flows skill.
