Books leave, sickness or another absence for a Personio employee.
Settings
| Setting | What it is |

| ConnectionRequired | The Personio connection the step signs in with. |
| Employee idRequired | text |
| Absence type idRequired | The List absence types node gives you the id. |
| StartsRequired | A date and time WITHOUT a timezone offset — Personio reads it in the employee's own timezone. |
| First day | Half days only count when the absence type allows them. |
| Ends | Leave empty for an absence with no end date yet. |
| Last day | "" or "FIRST_HALF" or "SECOND_HALF" |
| Comment | text |
| Substitute id | Only if this absence type's policy allows a substitute. |
| Skip approval | On, Personio books the absence without asking a manager. Personio does not document this on booking, so leave it off unless your tenant accepts it. |
